Crystal Sharing…

I’m feeling rather “posty” today and wanted to share an image of some of my beautiful crystals… my sweethearts, my beloveds! :)

They bring me so much joy, energy (obviously!) and love… I sleep with a few of them in my bed and almost all of them near me. I utilize crystals when I work on clients in person, gravitating toward any/all that speak to me during and/or before sessions. They are truly a gift!

The Full (Wolf) Moon in Cancer

Tomorrow, January 19th, 2011 marks the Full Wolf Moon in Cancer.

Now, I’m not an astrologer nor am I incredibly well versed in all things astrology, but I know enough to provide a few pearls of wisdom and I know enough to say this much: If you feel called/guided to partake in a Full Moon ritual (which I would recommend as it offers one the opportunity to release), go for it!

Saddle Road at Twilight; Big Island, HI

My good friend over at Healing Morning, linked me to a few “astrologically sound” websites to fully grasp and understand the affect that this particular full moon will have on us. This one, by Auntie Moon really seemed to ring true to what she and I both were experiencing.

That being said, if you have found that the past few days a lot of emotional “stuff” has come up regarding your parents, siblings, etc. this explains it. In terms of astrology, Cancers are [usually] rather sensitive and the influence of Cancer also places focus on the home/family (I learned that little nugget of info from another friend of mine).

For more information, feel free to check this page out as well.

Depending on what you are personally experiencing, your intentions for your full moon ritual may vary. I really loved what Molly Hall wrote in her column regarding Full Moon Rituals. It’s very clear and concise, I will probably take a few notes from her tomorrow night when I do my ritual.

Candle colors may vary depending, again, on what your intentions are. If you aren’t sure, I always recommend sticking with the tried and true white votive candle (as white basically encompasses all colors). If you’re reading this tonight, consider doing a small meditation before you go to bed. Focus on opening your Heart chakra to receive any/all information for your Highest Good in terms of what areas to set your intentions on for tomorrow night’s Full Wolf Moon.

Edit: Farmers Almanac mentions this about the Full Wolf Moon: Amid the cold and deep snows of midwinter, the wolf packs howled hungrily outside Indian villages. Thus, the name for January’s full Moon. Sometimes it was also referred to as the Old Moon, or the Moon After Yule. Some called it the Full Snow Moon, but most tribes applied that name to the next Moon.

If you so choose to do a ritual of your own, I would be more than happy to hear how it went! Also, I want to offer this to my readers… If you would like to be more specific with a candle color, please leave a comment here and I will be happy to assist in selecting a candle color for you.

Let’s collectively use the power of tomorrow night’s full moon to manifest and release our hearts out!

Many Blessings of Moonlight & Love,

Shining Out from With-In…

Dearest Ones,

We are here, at this time in this place, in this incarnation to collectively join together in Oneness, in Love.

Do not fear, for you are not alone. Do not hide, for your light is meant to shine brightly, far and wide. Expand your light into the ether and know that You Are Loved. Yes, You ARE Loved so Shine Out Your Light With-In!

There is Light waiting to be mirrored, within the Heart Spaces of each of us… Simply allow this Light to Shine through and you will see the Light in everything else that surrounds you.

Love yourselves and you will find that loving others comes with effortlessness and ease.

Shine, Dearest Ones… Shine Out from With-In!

Many Blessings & Much Love,
Kapua

L.A. Buddha

This is a photo I shot at my friend’s place in Chinatown, Los Angeles.

I’m a house guest here until I move at the end of the month into this fantastic little studio that found me. You can read about that story in a future post *wink*. This image in particular has inspired me to explore and shoot a series of ‘similar photos’.

I find the aesthetic value and placement of the objects (and of course the Buddha) rather pleasing and balanced to a certain degree (I promise you I shot it exactly as my friend had it all arranged). I won’t sit and analyze what my friend could have been thinking when he placed the Buddha front and center of two empty bottles of vino, one in which is draped with a rosary… I will leave that open to your interpretation, should you choose to entertain such thoughts. All I will say is that something about this just screams “L.A.” to me; my friend has a lose, albeit well-adjusted, interest in Feng Shui; and he would probably laugh at me for saying what I’ve said because he’s from Jersey. LOL

For the time being, I hope this photo does at least one of two things for you…

1) Assists you in finding a sense of stillness and/or observation, if only in this moment…
2) Piques your curiosity as to what I might have up my artistic sleeve… ;)

Much Love.
